self care for teachers & bringing mindfulness into education

Through the Mindful Being In Education Fundamentals course, staff will learn about mindfulness, its history and relevance to education, related neuroscience and its connection to self-regulation and relationships.  Staff will learn about and embody fundamental mindfulness practices to be integrated into their personal and professional life.  A trainer will help facilitate an ongoing support network for mindfulness practices within the organization, and participants will receive a Mindful Being Toolkit to help them continue this journey with others at home and in their profession.

Mindfulness curriculum development PreK-12

Mindful Being teaches developmentally appropriate mindfulness lessons to youth, grades PreK-12.  This is a stand-alone service, or an excellent way to mentor teachers who have completed our Mindful Being in Education Fundamentals course and wish to advance their training to provide mindfulness curriculum in their classrooms.

mindful being & stress management in the community

Research shows that developing mindful awareness can help cultivate deep states of ease, peace, compassion and attunement, and help us stay connected with what's important to us. With practice we are better able to stay present and connected to our experiences and thoughts. We are able to identify stressors and our reactions to them, which ultimately helps us navigate a better response to the growing demands and expectations we experience in our personal, professional and family life. This has become more important and relevant in our fast paced, often overscheduled, technology driven, high pressure society of doing vs. being.  The benefits of practice include improved focus and concentration, self-awareness and impulse control, a sense of calm and composure, enhanced health and sleep, increased compassion and understanding, and development of natural conflict resolution skills. Mindfulness practices can improve pain and disease management, mental health and addictions, and improve efficacy in our jobs and family life. Come, learn, and experience mindfulness and how practices can be integrated into your daily routines to enhance your well being.

mindful being in the workplace

While at work we have a radical responsibility to focus our energy where we can do the most good. Mindful leaders and effective team members have several things in common: the ability to be resilient when challenged physically, mentally and emotionally; to be present and available during challenges by removing obstacles and being available to others; to be free of unreasonable fear, embrace life's circumstances, and be available and aware of the endless possibilities that inspire creative innovation. Contact Mindful Being to inquire about bringing mindfulness training to your workplace.
